When the lock button is on the garage door opener will work from the door control but the remote controls are locked out. Unplug your garage door opener from the power source to prevent accidental electrocution. The circuit board on your garage door opener will have to be replaced if you want your light to function properly. Look for small led lights on the sensors. Replacing the safety sensors is not a complicated job and is somewhat easy. If the wiring is fine and your garage door opener is still not working then the problem may be that one of the sensors has simply failed.
