If an operational problem exists and the garage door opener will not close the opener can be forced to close. The issue could all boil down to the simple goof of a disconnected motor. Check for and clear any obstructions in its way. You should now be able to operate the door using the genie garage door opener.

If it is be sure that the lenses are mounted five to six inches from the floor on either side of the garage door opening. Turn the close force dial in small increments until the garage door reaches the ground when you hit the close button on the remote. You may need to give the cord a slight yank to reconnect. If the problem persists check to see if the red safe t beam led indicator is blinking.

The door won t reach the ground if the maximum level of force is exceeding during closing. Press and hold the wall console button until the garage door is completey closed. Check for interference from adjacent photo eye sensors of any brand. Check garage door for binding.

Try to keep the cord as parallel to the rail of the garage door opener as possible.
